However, optimised for use with APS-C format sensors, it is simultaneously a lens that is so light and compact that it can be taken along simply anywhere and everywhere you go. Note! Zeiss has released a new firmware update for the Touit lenses with e-mount version.

With this version, the lenses also support phase detection autofocus and the fast hybrid autofocus of newer Sony E-mount cameras.

As of Feb. 2015 all Touit e-mount lenses are already supplied with the new firmware.
