Aputure Storm 1200x - this point source COB lamp is an efficient hard and directional light source that can accept a variety of modifiers in front of it to turn it into a soft source, or a lensed directional source with various beam controls. A bicolor light is adjustable between warm and cool color temperatures. The Aputure Storm 1200x uses an innovative new BLAIR light engine (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) to produce excellent full white spectrum across a wide CCT range with great fine-tune adjustability of +/- Green as well as other colors. Compared to traditional bicolor technology, the result is better quality white light and because all the emitters are contributing, a brighter white light as well. The ProLock Locking Bowens Mount is a secure clamp which allows the use of popular Bowens modifiers. The Aputure Storm 1200x also offers superior dimming capabilities and greater weather protection that competing products.

 

 

 

 

FULL SPECTRUM WHITE LIGHT WITH GREATER CRI & SSI

 

The Aputure Storm 1200x utilizes a new BLAIR five-color (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) light engine to better fill out the color spectrum while offering greater adjustability. The calibrated Indigo enhances fluorescing materials, resulting in a higher quality white light that better matches natural daylight and black body sources such as tungsten quartz. 2500-10,000K & FULL +/- GREEN ADJUSTABILITY

 

The BLAIR Light Engine enables the Aputure Storm 1200x to offer a greater range of CCT than traditional bicolors and is the first light of its kind to offer 100% +/- Green control, the full ASC MITC range of adjustment. No other 1200W-range light offers this flexibility.

 

 

 

PROLOCK LOCKING BOWENS MOUNT

 

The Aputure Storm lights feature the ProLock Locking Bowens Mount, a more secure clamping design for attaching modifiers. Bowens accessories are held rigidly in place and precision optics light fresnels and Spotlight projectors are precisely aligned with the light engine.

 

 

 

 

IP65 WEATHER PROTECTION

 

Head-to-toe IP65 dust and weather protection means the Aputure Storm 1200x can work in extreme environments. Seals on every connector and around components allow not only the lamphead but also the control box and cabling to be used outside in the rain.

 

 

 

BREAKTHROUGH BLAIR CHIPSET

With a new breakthrough proprietary BLAIR chipset, the Aputure Storm 1200x delivers exceptional brightness and color accuracy. The STORM 1200x offers a hefty 22,500 lux @3m at 5,600K with its included hyper reflector while maintaining a SSI score of 87 at both 3,200K and 5,600K. The inclusion of an indigo diode in this chipset enhances the colors of fluorescing materials, resulting in an image that is more accurate to daylight and black body light sources. Featuring a CCT range of 2,500K-10,000K and advanced white-point control with green-magenta color correction (±G 100% full ASC MITC range), this fixture offers the versatility and critical color accuracy that professionals call for on set.

The Aputure Storm 1200x features the ProLock Locking Bowens Mount, a more secure clamping design for attaching modifiers. Bowens accessories are held rigidly in place and precision optics light fresnels and Spotlight projectors are precisely aligned with the light engine. Designed with higher stability, durability, and optimization for optical precision modifiers, the ProLock Mount is compatible with three new reflectors (15°, 30°, 45°) and standard Bowens mount accessories.

 

 

 

PRECISION 0.1-100% DIMMING

Equipped with advanced dimming technology, the Aputure Storm 1200x ensures flicker-free, color-accurate operation during shooting even at its lowest output level of <60lux @1m (5,600K). In addition, this dimming technology provides users with an unprecedented 0.1-100% stepless brightness control.
