The next installment of the full-frame Canon EOS R6 Mark II body raises the bar with a unique combination of class-leading performance, breathtaking speed, stability and professional movie features. This time, the R6 Mark II provides an ultra-efficient continuous shooting mode reaching up to 40 fps and an advanced AF system based on artificial intelligence solutions.

The EOS R6 Mark II uses Canon's state-of-the-art Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology to focus and track subjects, bringing them into focus as they move around the frame. Using deep learning-based artificial intelligence, we programmed the camera to recognize people, vehicles (cars, motorcycles, trains and planes) and animals (dogs, cats, birds and horses). The type of object detected can be selected in the EOS R6 Mark II menu. There is also an automatic option available, which is useful when working in a variety of conditions.

Eye detection in the AF system is a proven solution, which has now been enhanced with the ability to decide which eye is to be treated as a priority (left or right). If the eyes are not visible in the frame, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II will focus on the face, while when the head is not visible, the camera will start tracking the body.

This amazing camera gives you the ability to shoot at a whopping 40fps with the electronic shutter and 12fps with the mechanical shutter. Every nuance, every, even the most fleeting element of a given movement will be available to you with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. To give you even more confidence in capturing the decisive moment, the caching function captures RAW bursts before you press the shutter button. RAW shooting at 30 fps is possible for up to 191 frames. These frames are saved in one special CR3 file, which is treated as a roll (a collection of shots that make up a given series). Then, in the Canon Digital Photo Professional application, it is possible to convert individual frames to JPEG, HEIF or RAW.

In addition, this model provides digital correction of the breathing effect (changing the vividness of the image when changing the focus point), which extends the filming capabilities of some Canon lenses.

Improved circuitry also ensures very long recording - up to 6 hours. So you can take all the shots without pre-imposed cuts and breaks. Your equipment will follow your every idea and even the most demanding scenes (recording time depends on the ambient temperature, memory card capacity and battery performance). The HDMI output allows the transmission of RAW images in 6K quality. Using the separately sold Atomos Ninja V+ recorder, it is possible to record footage in RAW ProRes format.

Get stunning shots in any situation thanks to the powerful ISO 102400 sensitivity. Candlelight, filming and shooting after dark, moonlight - you can maintain the natural atmosphere of even the most demanding lighting. What's more, the AF system works down to -6.5EV, so even in very low light, you can still autofocus very effectively.

The next version of the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body camera has been enhanced with the "Detection Only" Movie Servo AF technology, which is similar to the "Face Only" option known from the Canon Cinema EOS C70 model. If the subject that was focused on is outside the focus point, the focus will not continue, only the focus plane will remain at this point. For example, if you choose to focus on "people", then when the camera focuses on a person and that person withdraws, it will not focus again. This is a very desired function by users, because sometimes it was necessary to leave a given focus point, e.g. when a given character was to return to the same place again.

The uncompromising image quality offered by this camera is the perfect duo of Canon's 24.2 full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor. The Canon EOS R6 Mark II also features a digital tele-converter that enables APS-C equivalent cropping directly from the camera. This allows you to get even closer to distant situations.

The Canon EOS R6 Mark II can be used seamlessly as a webcam on Windows or MACOS computers with popular video calling applications such as Skype, Zoom and Teams. There is no need to install additional software. Just use Plug&Play technology and industry standard USB Video Class (UVC) and USB Audio Class (UAC) drivers that are built into the operating systems mentioned above.

The Canon EOS R3 was the first model to use a multi-function shoe - now it is also available on the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, giving you access to a range of different accessories that will increase the capabilities of your camera. For example, you can seamlessly connect the camera to the DM-E1D Digital Microphone or Tascam XLR Adapter. The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is also compatible with advanced Speedlite series flash units.
